The date of birth on my NIN is incorrect. How do I change it?

If the date of birth on your National Identification Number (NIN) does not match the date of birth on your account, you will need to update it before NIN verification can be completed.


How to update your date of birth on NIN 

  1. Go to your nearest NIMC office, an approved enrollment center or visit https://selfservicemodification.nimc.gov.ng/

  2. Request a date of birth correction/update on your NIN record.

  3. Ensure the new date of birth matches with the details on your BVN.

  4. Once the NIN date of birth update is confirmed (takes about 7 days), return to the app and retry the NIN verification process.

  5. If in-app verification is still not successful, please send your account number and a clear screenshot of your updated NIN slip to support@getcarbon.co  for resolution within 24 working hours.
