Your transaction and account limits on Carbon are tied to your KYC (Know Your Customer) level. The higher your KYC level, the more you can send, receive, and keep in your account.

  • KYC Level 1: Basic access with low limits.

  • KYC Level 2: Higher limits after verifying key personal details.

  • KYC Level 3: Maximum limits with full verification (ID + address proof).

Upgrading your KYC is quick and can be done directly in the app. Below are the steps:

✅ Upgrade to KYC Level 2

With KYC Level 2, you get:

  • ₦50,000 per single transaction

  • ₦300,000 daily transaction limit

  • ₦500,000 maximum account balance

How to upgrade:

  1. Open your Carbon app and click on "Account" (located in the bottom right corner).

  2. Tap Personal details and fill in the required information:

    • BVN

    • House address

    • Bank details

    • Employment and income details

  3. Click Save (top right corner).

  4. Tap Upgrade to level 2, fill in your BVN and address again, and take a clear live selfie in a bright environment.

  5. Click Submit for verification.

Once verified, your account will be upgraded to KYC Level 2.

🚀 Upgrade to KYC Level 3

With KYC Level 3, you unlock the highest limits:

  • ₦1,000,000 per single transaction

  • ₦5,000,000 daily transaction limit

  • ₦999,999,999.99 maximum account balance

How to upgrade:

  1. Open your Carbon app and go to Account.

  2. Select Upgrade your account.

  3. Choose Level 3 upgrade and provide:

    • A valid ID card

    • Your residential address

    • A clear selfie

    • A utility bill (for address verification)

  4. Click Submit for verification.

Once your documents are approved, your account will be upgraded to KYC Level 3.
