Name Discrepancy on Carbon Account and BVN? Here's What to Do

The name I registered with on Carbon is different from the name on my BVN, what do I do?

To fully access all of your account's features, it is crucial that the name on your account, BVN, and NIN are identical.

If you need to change the name on your account, please send the following documents to support@getcarbon.co:

  • Your account number

  • A screenshot of your NIN slip

  • A copy of the court affidavit for the name change

  • A newspaper publication (if applicable)

  • Your BVN

The subject line of your email should be: Name change

Our support team will review your documents and complete the verification within 24 working hours.

Note: For us to update your account, the name on your BVN and NIN must match.
