Carbon Circles Ambassadors Program (Referral - Affiliate Marketing)

As a Carbon Ambassador, you will play a crucial role in expanding our community while earning attractive rewards. By referring customers who successfully join our circles, you can earn significant bonuses and be part of our growth journey. Terms and Conditions

1. Joining the Program

  • Sign-Up Process: Ambassadors can join the program through [this link]. They must complete a form, including the Carbon account where payments will be made. After joining, ambassadors will receive an email with their unique ambassador code.

  • Account Requirements: All ambassadors must have a Carbon account with a minimum of KYC Level 2.

  • Eligibility: To be eligible as an ambassador, you must:

  1. Have an active Carbon account 

  2. The account must have a minimum of KYC level 2 verification completed

  3. Complete and submit the Carbon Ambassador application form 

  4. Not have any written off loans on your Carbon account 

  5. Not have any days in arrears on your current loans 

  6. Must not have any history of fraudulent activities associated with your Carbon account. 

2. Reward Amount and Bonus

  • Standard Reward: Ambassadors will earn N150 for each referred customer who successfully joins a circle.

  • High Referral Bonus: Ambassadors who refer more than 5,000 customers within a period will receive an extra bonus of N50,000, in addition to the fee per customer. 

3. Payment Schedule

  • Payment Dates: Ambassadors will receive payments bi-monthly on the following dates each year: October 1st, December 1st, February 1st, April 1st, June 1st, and August 1st. If the scheduled date falls outside a business day, payments will be made on the next working day before the close of business. 

  • Reward Eligibility: To qualify for a reward, ambassadors must refer to a minimum of 100 customers who successfully join a circle. A customer is considered to have joined  a circle when they have completed the successful  prepayment process.

4. Referral Periods and Reset

  • Referral Periods: The referral periods are as follows:

    • August 1st - September 30th

    • October 1st - November 30th

    • December 1st - January 31st

    • February 1st - March 31st

    • April 1st - May 31st

    • June 1st - July 31st

  • Customer Referral Reset: On the first day of each referral period, the count of referred customers will reset to zero. If the minimum referral number is not met within a period, the referred customers will not be carried over to the next period.

5. Payment Method

  • Carbon Accounts: Payments to ambassadors will be made exclusively through Carbon accounts. If an ambassador's Carbon account is not at KYC Level 2, Carbon cannot confirm their identity, and they will miss the payment for that period.

  • No Partial Payments: Partial payments are not possible. Ambassadors will receive full payment at the end of the period only if they reach the minimum referral amount.

  • Extra Bonuses: Ambassadors who refer more than 5,000 customers within a period will receive an extra bonus of N50,000, in addition to the standard fee per customer.

6. Marketing Practices

  • Content Guidelines: Ambassadors must promote the product without violating any Nigerian laws or using offensive content. Best practices for marketing include:

    • Providing accurate information about Carbon services.

    • Avoid making any misleading or false claims.

    • Adhere to privacy and data protection laws.

    • Refrain from using discriminatory or offensive language.

  • Social Media Use: Ambassadors can use their social media to promote Carbon Circles. However, Carbon shall not be responsible for the content created or shared by ambassadors. Ambassadors agree that all content shared must comply with Nigerian law and must not be offensive, discriminatory, controversial or illegal.

  • Indemnity: Ambassadors agree to indemnify and hold Carbon, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including but not limited to legal fees and costs, arising out of or in any way connected with their promotion of Carbon Circles, including any violation of these Content Guidelines.

7. Referral Limits and Tracking

  • No Limit on Referrals: There is no limit on the number of customers an ambassador can refer to in a period. More customers mean more rewards.

  • Referral Tracking: Real-time tracking is not available. Every week, ambassadors will receive an email with the number of referred customers they have accumulated in the period. Carbon will track the number of customers linked to an ambassador using a unique code provided to each ambassador, which must be shared with their referrals.

8. Referral Territory and Prepayment

  • Territory Restrictions: Customers can only be referred within Nigeria. International customers can only be referred if they have a BVN and NIN, Nigerian passport or residence permit and can create a Carbon account that meets KYC Level 2 requirements.

  • Successful Prepayment: A successful prepayment means that the customer has paid the amount needed to join a circle.

9. Account Creation and Verification

  • Free Account Creation: Creating a Carbon account is completely free.

  • KYC Level 2 Verification: Creating a Carbon account and completing KYC Level 2 verification can be done by referred customers and ambassadors in less than 10 minutes.

10. Program Violations and Support

  • Violations and Penalties: Ambassadors who violate the program rules, attempt to cheat the system, or create offensive marketing content will be removed from the program without notice. The ambassador's referral code will be permanently blocked, any rewards or payments due will be forfeited and no future rewards will be provided.  Penalties will be evaluated based on the severity and impact of the violation. Severe breaches may include legal action or further sanctions as deemed necessary by Carbon 

  • Customer Support: If ambassadors encounter issues with their Carbon account, they can contact customer service support.

  • Program Participation: Ambassadors can join or leave the program at any time; there is no minimum participation period.

11. Marketing Materials and Communication

  • Materials Provided: A document explaining the product and a video will be available on the website. Ambassadors can refer to these materials for accurate information.

  • Support and Communication: All questions about the program should be sent to circles@getcarbon.co. Ambassadors will also have access to an FAQ session for additional support. Support will be provided only in English.

Program Updates: All changes to the program will be reflected in this document and communicated via email to the address provided by ambassadors.
